Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the OpenEng websites at openeng.app and the OpenEng apps and engines — Terminal, Kubernetes, Data, Git, and Board (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

OpenEng provides browser-based developer apps that run against a small native engine you install and run on your own machine. The browser app is a thin client; commands, cluster calls, git operations, and board edits execute locally on your hardware. You are responsible for the machine the engine runs on and for anything you do with the Service.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. There are no paid tiers, subscriptions, or features locked behind a paywall. We may change what we offer, or introduce paid features in the future, but any plan you are using will not start charging you without notice.

You sign in using Google Sign-In to pair your browser with your local engine. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Tell us promptly at hello@openeng.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

You agree not to:

• use the Service to violate any law or the rights of others;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems;
• resell or redistribute the Service without our permission.

You retain all rights to your code, repositories, clusters, boards, and other data. Because that work stays on your machine, you are responsible for backing it up and for the security of your own environment. We claim no ownership over your content.

The Service, including the OpenEng apps, engines, brand, and website, is owned by OpenEng and protected by intellectual-property laws. OpenEng is not open source; these Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service, and nothing more.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenEng will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
